Kutaisi and Mestia Join the Global "Earth Hour" Initiative
In support of environmental responsibility and sustainable development, the cities of Kutaisi and Mestia successfully participated in the world’s largest environmental campaign, Earth Hour. As part of this initiative, the illumination of central streets and key landmarks was symbolically switched off for one hour.
This step further highlights the readiness of local municipalities to promote energy efficiency, combat climate change, and develop green, eco-friendly destinations across Georgia's tourism regions. "Standards in Tourism" welcomes such initiatives, which raise awareness and establish new standards for sustainable tourism in the country.
